Online Breathwork / Pranayama
The breath is always with us, every moment, moving by itself like a river. We can think of it like a chain that links all the events of our lives from our birth to our death.
When we deliberately become aware of the breath, we can use it as a tool to anchor and bring stability to our body and mind, to embrace the here and now. Each breath has its own character, effect and result.
As we learn to breathe more fully, we learn to live more fully.
Learning to use the diaphram is the key to opening the breath. As we inhale the belly inflates and as we exhale the belly draws back towards the spine. When we use the diaphram to breathe we tap straight into the parasympathetic nervous system, we massage our internal organs, encourage blood and lymph flow.
Your breath can literally change the way you feel in minutes but it takes practice to gain the full benefits of something most people take for granted. When you change the way you breathe it allows you to choose your own narrative and connects you to how you would like to move forward in life.
In this frenetic stimulating world we live in it is an invaluable tool. Learning to be in the present moment and not ruminate on the pain of the past or worry about future events allows us regain our grounding and clarity.
